It was bought together with another Apple-1 from someone in California by John Christopher Burr. He owned a Computerland shop. He had the Apple-1 in a show case in his Computerland shop with a price tag of US$ 1,000,000. Steve Jobs told him, that he should keep it, because it would be worth a lot of money someday.
In 2019 Achim Baqué bought it. Due to Corona pandemic and travel restrictions it wasn't possible to pick-up in the USA. It was shipped in November 2020 to Germany. After shipping John agreed to publish his name. He is the oldest owner and for this reason the Apple-1 is named after him.
In late 2021 Achim met John and his wife in the Bay Area. One photo showing both in front of the former Computerland shop.
Because of restoration process no ICs are on the board.
Original Apple Cassette Interface (NTI) with triangle tamp "G" on the back.
