First owner is unknown.
It was sold to Tom Romkey, an Apple level 1 technician since 1981. He owned the 'Personal Computer Store' in Florida. First owner came one day in his shop and traded the Apple-1 for a new NCR PC.
Sold at auction September 21, 2015 at Bonhams for US$ 365,000 (including buyers premium).

Ceramic MOS MCS 6502 CPU (1576), plastic AMI S6820 PIA (7601), 8 KB plastic MOSTEK DRAM MK4096N-16 date codes 7650, 7651 and 7632). Blue capacitors.


Apple Cassette interface NTI with triangle stamp with letter G in the middle on the back. Power supply (Triad F31-X and F40-X) and white wooden case of unknown date. SWTP keyboard seven keycaps missing) probably from 1976 mounted to the case.
